RAWALPINDI – Police in its crackdown against kite sellers and kite flying ban violators have netted 27 and recovered 4047 kites and 72 kite flying string rolls from the possession of the accused.
According to Rawalpindi Police spokesman, Rawat Police netted Arshad for having 75 kites and four kite flying string rolls. Nadeem Abbas and Imran Pervaiz were sent behind the bars on recovery of 93 and 150 kites respectively. Banni police arrested Haq for possessing 70 kites. New Town police apprehended Naeem with 50 kites and two string rolls.
Sadiqabad police rounded up Sajjad and Nabeel with 80 kites. Cantt police also recovered 12 kites from the possession of Zafar. Naseerabad police held Faizan for carrying 950 kites. RA Bazar police netted two kite sellers namely Muhammad Ali and Bilal Ali and recovered 1010 kites and 15 string rolls.
Civil Line police booked Shehzad Gulfam, Adil Qayyum and Waqar and seized 200 kites and six string rolls. Airport police nabbed kite flying ban violators namely Umair and Ghulam Mustafa. Civil Line police sent behind the bars Muhammad Boota, Raheel, Danish, Naqash, Atta ullah and Waqas and recovered 46 kites and eight string rolls.
Similarly, Saddar Baroni police recovered 1275 kites and 22 string rolls from the possession of Abdul Rehman, Bilal, Adnan and Zulfiqar. Separate cases have been registered against the rules violators.
